Junior session plans — coach agreement & disclaimer
Netball Session Plans for Coaches Working with Junior Athletes Aged 10–15
This agreement is effective upon purchase and applies worldwide. Last updated: April 2026.
These session plans are purchased by and licensed to the coach, school or club — not the athlete.
By purchasing these plans you confirm you are the coach, club administrator, or an authorised representative of the organisation delivering these sessions. You accept full responsibility for the safe and appropriate delivery of all content to junior athletes in your care. These plans are a coaching resource — the responsibility for athlete welfare, safeguarding, and safe delivery rests entirely with you and your organisation.
1. Scope & intended use
These session plans are designed as a structured coaching resource for qualified or experienced netball coaches working with junior athletes aged 10–15. They provide age-appropriate physical preparation, skill development, and conditioning content suitable for in-season and pre-season training environments.
These plans are intended to support — not replace — the professional judgement of the delivering coach. They assume the coach has the relevant coaching qualifications, safeguarding accreditation, and first aid training required by their national governing body, sport organisation, or employer.
These plans are not suitable for delivery by unqualified individuals, nor for use in unsupervised training settings involving junior athletes.
2. Coach responsibilities
By purchasing and using these session plans, you accept full responsibility for the following:
Athlete readiness & screening
Assessing the physical readiness of each athlete before commencing sessions, including identifying any injuries, medical conditions, or contraindications. Collecting and maintaining up-to-date medical information and emergency contacts for all athletes in your care.
Session modification & adaptation
Modifying, scaling, or substituting exercises and drills where appropriate for individual athlete needs, developmental stage, physical maturity, or injury status. These plans provide a framework — you are responsible for adapting content to the athletes in front of you.
Load management for developing athletes
Junior athletes aged 10–15 are in active physical development. Growth plates (physes) are present and vulnerable to overload. You are responsible for monitoring training load, identifying signs of overtraining or growth-related pain (such as Osgood-Schlatter or Sever's disease), and reducing or modifying load accordingly.
Technique & supervision
Ensuring all exercises are performed with correct technique and appropriate loading. Junior athletes require active coaching and supervision throughout all sessions. These plans do not constitute a self-directed training resource for athletes.
Environment & equipment safety
Ensuring the training environment is safe, appropriate, and free from hazards before commencing any session. Ensuring any equipment used is fit for purpose and used correctly.
3. Safeguarding & child safety
These session plans involve the delivery of physical training to minors. You confirm that you and all other adults involved in delivering these sessions:
* Hold a current and valid Working with Children Check (or equivalent background screening required in your country, state, or jurisdiction)
* Have completed safeguarding or child protection training as required by your national governing body, sport organisation, or employer
* Comply with the child safeguarding policies of your club, association, or organisation
* Have obtained appropriate parental or guardian consent for the athletes in your care to participate in physical training
Pre-Season Pro does not assume any safeguarding or duty of care responsibility in relation to the junior athletes participating in sessions delivered using these plans. That responsibility rests entirely with the purchasing coach, club, school or organisation.
4. Parental & guardian consent
All athletes aged 10–15 participating in sessions delivered using these plans are minors. You confirm that you have obtained — or that your club or organisation has obtained — appropriate written consent from the parent or legal guardian of each participating athlete, covering:
* Participation in physical training and conditioning
* Disclosure of any relevant medical conditions, injuries, or medications
* Emergency medical treatment in the event of injury or illness during a session
5. Medical disclaimer
The content in these session plans is of a general nature and is not intended to constitute medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Pre-Season Pro does not provide medical advice. These plans have been designed by a qualified personal trainer and strength and conditioning coach with the intent to support coaches in delivering safe, effective, age-appropriate training.
Athletes with known injuries, medical conditions, or contraindications should be referred to a qualified health professional for clearance before participating. You are responsible for ensuring this occurs.
6. Coach readiness declaration *Required
Please confirm each of the following. If you cannot answer YES to all clearance statements, do not deliver these sessions until the relevant requirement is met.
